About this piece

Linen multiview postcard titled "Churches of Louisville, Kentucky," showing four churches: the Cathedral of the Assumption, Warren Memorial Presbyterian Church, First Christian Church and Walnut St. Baptist Church, set against a bright blue sky. Published by Readmore News Co., Louisville, Ky., and printed by Curt Teich, Chicago, as a C.T. Art-Colortone card in 1942, with "(c) Caufield & Shook" on the front. Standard 3.5 x 5.5 in, unposted. Very good used condition with clean bright colors, light corner wear and light toning; no writing on the back.

Front imprint: "(c) Caufield & Shook" at lower left and Teich code 2B-H924 (1942) at lower right. Back: "Readmore News Co., Louisville, Ky." and "Genuine Curteich-Chicago C.T. Art-Colortone Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.)" with a "Place One Cent Stamp Here" box. No postmark or stamp.

A nice four-in-one view for Louisville and Kentucky collectors and for collectors of Catholic, Presbyterian and Baptist church architecture.
