About this piece

Lot of 8 original vintage black-and-white snapshots of a baby and toddler, apparently the same child, from one family album. Included: a smiling couple holding the baby in a bonnet; a young woman in a long coat holding the baby; a man in suit and tie with the baby; the baby in a canvas baby swing on a street of frame houses; the baby sitting on a lawn below a hillside of houses (ink note "1 yr"); the baby crawling toward the camera while a man and two children sit on a lawn glider; a toddler in a snowsuit (ink note "2 1/2 yrs"); and a close-up of the baby. Sizes: 7 prints about 4.125 x 3.125 inches with white embossed frame borders, 1 print about 3.5 x 2.5 inches. Condition: light toning and corner wear; several images soft or blurred as taken; stamped lab numbers and album-page toning lines on the backs, pencil scribble on one back.

From a mid-century family photo album purchased at auction in Canfield, Ohio. The album also held a newspaper clipping about a women's club meeting in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. No names are written on the photos.

A coherent one-family run for vernacular photo collectors, collage and scrapbook makers.
