About this piece
Lot of 13 original 1990s color snapshot prints from one visit to Plimoth Plantation and the Mayflower II. Included: the wooden entrance arch signed Plimoth Plantation with signboards for the 1627 Pilgrim Village, Hobbamock's Homesite, the Carriage House Crafts Center and Mayflower II; a white-bearded interpreter in a 17th-century doublet on the deck of the Mayflower II; costumed Pilgrim interpreters walking the village lane, making a wooden rake and chatting with visitors; thatched houses, a kitchen garden and the palisade fort; views down the village street to the bay; and Wampanoag interpreters by a cooking fire, a bark wetu and a woodpile at Hobbamock's Homesite. Each print about 4 x 6 inches on Konica paper. Condition: generally very good; emulsion lifting along one edge of two prints, a pink cast in the sky of the Mayflower print; blank backs.
The signs show the museum's earlier names: Plimoth Plantation became Plimoth Patuxet in 2020, and Hobbamock's Homesite was later renamed.
A nice documentary set for Plymouth, Pilgrim, living-history and Massachusetts travel collectors.
