Vintage hand-tinted photograph of a little blond boy in a white short-sleeve romper with an embroidered monogram, standing on a sunny lawn beside a scruffy terrier-type dog with its tongue out. Frame houses and a leafy tree fill the background, with soft hand-applied color on the grass, sky and foliage. Appears to date from about the 1920s. Measures about 4.9 x 7 inches. Condition: emulsion loss and spotting at the top left, light overall wear; please see photos.

The back has pencil marks: a large M and some illegible notes.

A sweet boy-and-his-dog image with nice period detail in the clothing, boots and houses, for collectors of hand-colored photographs, children and pets.
